Install Lansy on macOS
Lansy has a desktop app — for macOS and Windows. This guide covers macOS: it lives in the menu bar, automatically detects when a meeting starts, and records the audio, your voice and everyone else’s. No need to press anything.
2
Install the app
Install it by dragging the .dmg file into the Applications folder. If macOS says it can’t verify the developer, right-click the icon and choose “Open”, then click “Open” again. This is only needed the first time you launch the app.
3
Grant microphone & system audio access
On first launch, the setup wizard will ask for access to your microphone and system audio recording. Recording won’t work without them — click “Allow” in each prompt.
4
Choose a folder for recordings
Choose a folder for recordings — or just leave the default.
5
Sign in
Signing in through the browser links the app to your organization.
How to use it
From here, everything happens automatically.
Automatic mode
Start your meeting as usual. Lansy will start recording automatically and stop it once the call ends.
Menu bar controls
The Lansy icon at the top of the screen: start or stop recording manually, open the latest recording, open the folder, or quit.
You can close the window
The app will minimize to the menu bar and keep watching for meetings in the background.
Any app
Lansy records Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Yandex Telemost, Slack Huddles, Cisco Webex, and Lark / Feishu.
